Australian sands miner Iluka has indicated that it will be spending over $290million on its newly 3 mines under Sierra Rutile.
The mineral sands miner this past week completed its $375million takeover of the Sierra Rutile mines after it brought in geotechnical consultants to properly “check leakage from the Gangama dam site,” which delayed the takeover for a few days before it was resolved allowing the takeover to take place.
Now the Mineral sands miner which is now the biggest in the world, says it wants to bolster safety and boost output.
“Iluka said it would conduct feasibility studies on spending up to $214 million on expanding production at three mines in the West African country over the next three to five years.”
“The sand miner also expects to spend $80 million on improving operational and safety performance measures at Sierra Rutile over the next two years.”
