The energy and water ministers of Cameroon, The Republic of Congo, and the Central African Republic; Basile Atangana Kouna, Serge Blaise Zoniaba, and Léopold Mboli Fatran respectively, signed a MoU relating to a hydropower project.

The MoU is in regards to the 600-MW Chollet dam on the Dia river and includes the associated power lines that will distribute the power produced to the three countries.

The Chollet dam will cost between 354 and 670 billion FCFA according to the development option that the contractor of the project, Sinohydro, has decided on.
